In this talk we introduce a fascinating connection between probability

and topology. We will begin by motivating the problem, illustrating how

topological concepts relate to common probabilistic phenomena in

condensed matter physics. We will then present a concrete example

that links the stochastic dynamics of a Brownian particle moving toward

a target with the topology of the medium. We will conclude by

discussing future direction and potential applications.
