Postdoctoral Position in Nano-Optics

Postdoctoral Position in Nano-Optics postdoc ad-Abate_2.pdf

University of Georgia / Department of Physics and Astronomy

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Georgia invites applications for.

postdoctoral position. Our lab studies problems in quantum materials using a combination of high resolution

near-field and far-field laser spectroscopic approaches and interpreting results using ab initio

simulational methods. Applicants must have a PhD in physics or a related field. We are particularly

interested in candidates with expertise in experimental nano-optics and spectroscopy. Previous

experience in nano-fabrication is a plus. But, applications from highly motivated candidates, with a

strong background in some other area of spectroscopy and the ability to learn quickly, are also quite

welcome. Interested candidates should send an email to Prof. Yohannes Abate yohannes.abate@uga.edu.

Please include CV, list of publications and two references. The position is available immediately.
