Paper by Yiping Zhao's Group Selected as a 2019 HOT Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics Article

The paper entitled "The Extraordinary Optical Transmission and Sensing Properties of Ag/Ti Composite Nanohole Arrays" was extremely well received and selected by the Journal's editors for the collection.

A recent paper entitled "The Extraordinary Optical Transmission and Sensing Properties of Ag/Ti Composite Nanohole Arrays, DOI: 10.1039/C8CP07729K" authored by Steven Larson (graduate student), Daniel Carlson (undergraduate student), Bin Ai (postdoc), and Prof. Yiping Zhao has been selected as one of the 2019 Hot Papers by the journal Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics. From the paper's introduction:
Extraordinary optical transmission (EOT) is a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) based effect where more light is transmitted through a repeated periodic subwavelength aperture in a metallic film than can be accounted for by the holes in the film. This property has been widely investigated and applied in the development of optical filters, imaging, photonic circuits, fluorescence, surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy, plasmonic nanochemistry, and sensors.
