Graduate Student Jason Terry Selected as Recipient of this Year's James L. Carmon Scholarship Award

In a year of particularly intense competition, the selection committee awarded Jason Terry the $4,000 scholarship for his excellent academic record and outstanding dissertation research.
The James L. Carmon Scholarship Award is presented to University of Georgia graduate students who have used computers in innovative ways. Named for the late James L. Carmon, a UGA faculty member for 36 years who helped make the university a leader in computing research and development, the award was established by the Control Data Corp.
Recognition of this scholarship and the awardees usually occurs in Spring semester during UGA’s Honors Week, and further details on this year’s Honors Week are forthcoming.
