Dr. Stancil discusses his research and his role as Chair of the Laboratory Astrophysics Division
In June 2017, Dr. Stancil was elected Vice Chair of the Laboratory Astrophysics Division (LAD) of the American Astronomical Society (AAS). In the 6-year term, he served 2 years as Vice Chair, and is now serving 2 years as Chair.
In the interview, Dr. Stancil chats about aspects of his research, his involvement in the Laboratory Astrophysics Division (LAD), the formation of LAD, the upcoming joint AAS 236 + LAD meeting, the current state of LAD, and the benefits of becoming a member of LAD.
