A recent work by Prof. Yiping Zhao’s group is published as a cover (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/toc/21967350/2018/5/24) for “Advanced Materials Interfaces”. The paper, entitled as “Gradient Nanostructure: A Flexible Strategy to Fabricate Gradient Plasmonic Nanostructures”, presents a simple and versatile fabrication strategy to produce gradient plasmonic nanostructures by a physical vapor deposition on a curved mask substrate covered with a monolayer of close‐packed nanospheres. A plasmonic library can be easily established in a single fabrication. This strategy can in principle produce a wide range of gradient nanostructures and further be used for flexible components in optical devices. The work was led by the former postdoc, Dr. Bin Ai, and contributed from two graduate students, Steve Larson and Layne Bradley, in Zhao’s group.
