The NanoLab in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Georgia is recruiting motivated and hard-working students for Ph. D. researches in material physics and nanobiotechnology. Undergraduate or Master students with background in physics, engineering (including electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, & biological engineering), chemistry, and materials sciences are encouraged to apply. The graduate researches will be focused on the following areas: multifunctional novel nanomaterials, plasmonics and metamaterials, biosensors and microfluidics, nanomotors for disease treatments and corresponding numerical and simulational physics.

The detailed information on NanoLab can be found at https://www.physast.uga.edu/~zhaoy/.

The general admission requirements for potential graduate students are elaborated at https://www.physast.uga.edu/academic_programs/grad/apply.

For international students, UGA Graduate School has a special requirement for TOEFL score: Total score of 80 or above and speaking score of 20 or above
