Extracted below are some of the general observations of the Peer Team of the NAAC on the functioning of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning and its role in the system of Higher Education in the country.

The Peer Team met the students of the Institute separately to understand the overall impact of the education process on the receiving end by the students, the Peer Team placed the following issues before the students group to respond.

    • Is ,in your opinion, the education course content at par with other leading Institutes in India?
    • Is it necessary to place equal if not more emphasis on cultivation of human values, in other words, is the approach to integral education appropriate?
    • How competently would you face the world of reality? Will you not be hurt when the society/profession is distorted at large?
    • Will you succeed to act as lamp post of mission of the Institute?

The Peer Team without hesitation records here that this meeting with the students was refreshing and illuminating and at the same time satisfying to see each of the student fully charged with a mission to translate all thoughts and training into action on entering the world of work.

“The Peer Team puts on record its appreciation for NAAC for having provided the members of the Team the opportunity to spend time with the Institute faculty and the students so as to develop a thorough insight into the higher education process of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, particularly the integral higher education interwoven in the blueprint and design of higher education products. This made us realize that there is a way to correct our already degrading university education system in India, if we decide to do so”.

“In the present context, when we witness reviewing conflicts all over globally, there is a need for the role of higher education, in shaping the character and inculcating higher principles in individuals. Education in human values is imperative for rebuilding the fabric of society and ushering harmony and peace all around. The integral education system of this Institute is a tested model designed to provide a balanced combination of academic excellence and social awareness among the students, with beneficial consequences to the individual and the society. The Peer Team feels that this Institute stands out as a crest-jewel among the University education system in the country and this model is worthy of emulation by the institutions of higher learning in the country and elsewhere, so that these benefits would be reaped fast and on the widest possible scale”.
