Examinations:

Programmable calculators are not allowed by Departmental policy. See Dr. Heil if you have any questions about the legality of your particular calculator.
All exams are multiple choice with a selection of questions ranging from easy to challenging. In this system, no partial credit is possible.
Semester exams consist of 12 questions; the final has 24. The formulas for converting raw scores to a 100 point scales are located on the course website.
Every effort will be made to make sure the exams are as close to the homework problems as possible.
All questions concerning the grading of semester exams must be raised prior to the final exam.

Grading policy:

The course average will be calculated using weights of 15% for the laboratory grade and 12% for each of the 5 semester exam scores. The final exam will count the remaining 25%.
There are no make up exams. If one semester exam is missed, the student's final exam grade will substitute as the make-up grade - but only with a valid written excuse.
If the student takes all five exams, the final will replace their lowest semester exam score if higher.
If two or more semester exams are missed, the student cannot pass the course.

These are the rules! Don't even bother asking for exceptions!
