Title:	"An introduction to simulational physics and the Wang-Landau algorithm"

Abstract
I will give a very general picture of Monte Carlo simulations in statistical physics, introduce the Wang-Landau algorithm and other characteristic Monte Carlo algorithms.  The emphasis will be on the Wang-Landau algorithm, its convergence, statistical error, and extensions to continuous systems and joint density of states, which I have been working on recently.
