Departmental Sabbatical Program Plan

(Approved: General Faculty, September 26, 2007)

Each year the Department Head will solicit sabbatical applications from eligible faculty.

An application will include a CV and a one-page research plan. In accordance with the College Sabbatical Program Policy, “Sabbaticals will be awarded on a competitive basis to faculty who are active productive scholars”. Research plans will be evaluated according to:

1. Benefit to a given faculty member's research program,

2. increase of the Departments visibility and recognition, and

3. probability of a new departmental initiative resulting from the sabbatical.
