SHELTON AND KWAK RECEIVE NASA GRANT TO STUDY GAS IN THE MILKY WAY GALAXY
Janurary 27, 2009. Professor Shelton and Dr. Kwak are the lead investigators on a three year, $400K grant from the NASA Astrophysics Theory and Fundamental Physics Program. They will use magneto-hydrodynamic computer simulations in order to determine how our galaxy responds to the massive clouds of gas that are falling into it from intergalactic space. This work will aid in the understanding of galactic growth.
