Graduate Student awarded Best Computation Science Electronic Poster at TeraGrid '09
June 25, 2009. Graduate Student Sairam Tangirala working with professors David Landau and Yiping Zhao was awarded the "Best Computational Science Electronic Poster in the Graduate category" for his poster titled The Dynamic Scaling Study of Vapor Deposition Polymerization: A Monte Carlo Approach at the TeraGrid '09 conference in Arlington, Virginia. TeraGrid "is an open scientific discovery infrastructure combining leadership class resources at eleven partner sites to create an integrated, persistent computation resource." Posters were judged on how they demonstrate the use of computational science methods to solve science, engineering or mathematics problems.
