The Final Exam will be held during the regular, university-scheduled final exam periods (see also UGA Final Exam Schedule) on
The Final Exam
will be open-textbook
+ formula sheet (4sheets=8pages max.).
Any other printed/written materials
or data storage devices or media are
strictly prohibited.
Please note that the Final
Exam material will include all the
areas covered by the 3 Tests.
In addition, it will include
any other material covered in class,
but not on the 3 Tests, for example,
topics such as "Modern Physics":
see Knight Latest Edition
Chapters 39 and 43, to the extent covered in class.
In preparation for the Final Exam, you should review and re-study all the Sample Test Problems (STP's) and Recent Tests which were assigned for Tests No. 1, 2 and 3, and others, for those areas covered in class, but not included in the Tests, as follows:
STP Part B No. 6-17, 43-45, 51, 52, 56, 57, 61, 72-74, 80-83, 89, 90, 97;
STP Part A No.7-12,20,26,35-37,44,52-57,65,66,71;
STP Part A No. 13-19, 25, 27, 38-42, 44, 58-63, 67, 70, 72;
STP Part B No. 21, 22, 25-29, 36, 38, 40, 41, 43, 47-49, 62, 64, 65, 76, 77, 86, 91, 93, 98, 100.
You must also study (to the extent posted)
the old Test(s) and Final Exam(s)
problems and solutions ,

And you must also study the old Test No. 1-4 and Final Exam Problems to the extent posted here. Especially the Test No. 4 problems (see Spring 2004, Fall 2002, Spring 1999) contain useful additional material to practice for the Modern Physics part (Quantum and Nuclear Physics) of the Final Exam. The upcoming Final Exam will have the same format as the posted old Final Exams (see Spring 2004 and Spring 1999).
In addition, you may find it useful to work through some of the examples in the "Miscellaneous Handouts and Examples, PartB" on "Useful Formulae and Conversion Factors"
