We have conducted a Multi-Array Galactic Plane Imaging Survey (MAGPIS) with the Very large Array at a wavelength of 20cm, yielding images of some of the most active regions of the Galaxy with an improvement in both angular resolution and sensitivity of a factor >30. Comparison with the Spitzer GLIMPSE survey of the Plane allows us to construct a few-arcsecond-resolution map of star formation in the Galaxy. However, being closer to the other end of life myself, I have been focusing on stellar death; results on pulsars, supernova remnants, and TeV gamma ray sources will highlight my discussion.
